She said at the time: “I just wanted to repair what Mother Nature had inflicted on me during years of childbearing and rearing. It has taken me 41 years to look this good.”
But fast forward to this week and her cleavage seems to have gone completely, as her bony frame and barely-there boobs shocked GMTV viewers on Tuesday.
Ulrika is not the only star to hit their perfect weight – and forget to stop. But the good news for celebs that go too far with a strict regime is they can always bounce back.
Myleene Klass, 32
During her Hear’Say days in 2001, 5ft 5in Myleene was unhappy with her size 12 curves and 12-and-a-halfstone weight. “When I’m happy I eat. When I’m sad, I eat,” she confessed.
Then, in 2008, after the birth of her daughter Ava, Myleene dieted too far and hit sevenand-a-half stone. “I looked a total lollipop head,” she said. Now eight-and-a-half stone, Myleene sizzles in M&S ads.
Eva Herzigova, 37
Her buxom boobs literally stopped traffic when Eva was splashed across 30ft billboards advertising Wonderbra in 1994.
But her two most famous assets vanished when she shed a worrying amount of weight in 2003. She looked sick, not sexy. Then, thankfully, this year she has regained a few pounds and won back her Eva-nly curves.
Nicole Richie, 29

In January 2008, these pictures shocked fans. Mischa’s face has caved in, her eyes are sunken and bones protrude from her dress. All down to over-dieting. This year Mischa’s face has filled out and her legs look toned and smooth, not veiny and bony.
