SAVANNAH Guthrie has gone missing from the Today Show studio.
She promised fans that her co-host Hoda Kotb is holding down the fort while she’s on assignment in Washington DC.
Savannah, 52, appeared alongside Hoda, 59, on Today on Friday.
However, Savannah was not in the studio and the hosts were in front of a split screen.
She was reporting live from Washington DC while Hoda was in the New York City studio.
“Hoda, you are there in the studio holding it down,” Savannah said.

“I’m here in Washington. We had the State of the Union last night.”
“Yeah. We had a late night, SG,” Hoda said.
The hosts then went on to talk about the State of the Union to kick off the show.
Weekend anchor Laura Jarrett joined Hoda for a bit at the desk, but Hoda lead most of the news and interviews by herself.
MISSING HOSTS
Typically, if Hoda or Savannah is out, Craig Melvin fills in for one of them.
However, he was missing from the studio as well.
Craig, 44, reported on a story from Tucson, Arizona, and promised to be back in the studio on Monday.
Hoda and Laura were joined by Carson Daly and Dylan Dreyer in the studio.
GRAB A TISSUE
In February, Savannah choked back tears on air.
She returned to Today after her time off for her book tour.
The anchor opened up about her new book Mostly What God Does when she returned that Tuesday.
Savannah got emotional when chatting about her book and its contents as well as the inspiration behind it with her co-hosts.
“I was scared, I am scared,” she told Hoda during the segment.
Savannah admitted she was afraid to put the book out there as well as the vulnerability that came along with the action.
“But I also felt like I just had something good to say about God, and I wanted to say it,” she added.
The Today host was visibly tearing up as she spoke.
Savannah added that some people have said she wrote her book because of a feeling or obligation.
She also mentioned people who have said she has “too many blessings” so that’s why she had to write the book.
“I did it because I wanted to do it, because God made me want to do it,” the host said of the naysayers.
As Savannah went on, she seemed to calm down and stop crying.
