His first brush with major fame arrived in 1992. After appearing in a Levi’s 501 commercial and starring alongside John Travolta in “Shout,” he landed a role in Fox’s short-lived musical drama “The Heights.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I get to be on a hit show that tons of people watch, play music on the show, and at the same time, I have to take crap from everyone for being on that show. And I will continue to get flak for it. It’s a drag.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
